HARI RAYA PERTAMA - SALSABIILA

1 Syawal is always a joyous occasion, what more with the kids around to light up the atmosphere.. (what would world be without kids?).. Our baju raya comes in different colours and with different patterns, too.. It's what our Nabi Muhammad Saw asks us to wear beautiful clothes - be it the new one or the old one - to commemorate our return to FITRAH.. Of course, aurat must be taken care of..

We performed Solat Sunat 'IDILFITRI at home.. All 27 of us prayed together with CIK @ Mohd Kamal led the prayer as imam.. He read surah An-Naba' in the first raka'at and surah Al-A'la.. After finishing the prayer, we sat there at the praying mats for tahlil, with me leading it.. Then, the young shook hands with the old ones and the old ones shook hands with the young ones - to be forgiven and to ask for forgiveness...

Then, off we went for raya visit.. First, we went to Kampung Alor Merah, the village where me and my siblings were born.. the place where we grew up and played in... There, we visited our aunts - Mak Ndak Hajrah & Chu @ Hjh Kalsom.. They are our late father's sisters... As it has been every 'Idulfitri, we had nasi merah with kurma daging, rendang daging... huh! Actually, we already had our breakfast at home - with rendang of course.. now we had to consume some more rendang.. (oh no..) we had planned to go to other house - aunt Hajjah Aminah's house.. fuhh! After that, we decided to go back to jitra..

We had rest until 'Asar, after which we went to Mom's birthplace in Kampung Bunga Emas.. We ate sthg, drank sthg, performed maghrib prayer.. We had a calm and restful visit there.. We met Pak Ngah Alwi, Mak Ngah Khadijah, Makcik Salmiah, our cousins, Bg Mi Pak Ngah and Makcik's daughter, Nurul.. The night when we ended our visit was very breezy, cool and soothing to most of us who were very sleepy and tired and bloated...

Then, we visited ABANG @ Mahmud Fouzi at Taman Berlian.. It was 915 pm.. We had Laksa Johor there.. Abang was not feeling well.. I talked to Shafiq thru Skype.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Then, entertained the kids with firecrackers - bunga api, teloq penyu blablablablabla.. Then, off we went back to Tanah Merah at 1040 pm.. EVERYBODY WAS DEAD TIRED BUT HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO MEET FAMILY MEMBERS NEAR AND FAR..

Happiness and tiredness were translated then into deep sleep by everybody.. evrybody then becomes sleeping kings and sleeping queens... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... krohhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
